Daniel Island Rotary Duck Race

Names DSAL as Benefactor!

This is the 2nd annual Charleston Duck Race - last year 10,000 rubber ducks were dropped from the top of the Wando Bridge and floated downstream to the Duck Trap where everyone was gathered to greet them. This year 15,000 will be dropped, and 3 will be worth one million dollars if they come in first! All other prizes are guaranteed to be given away the day of the race.

Please visit www.CharlestonDuckRace.com for more info and to adopt ducks - this wonderful family event is scheduled for June 7, 2008.

Please encourage everyone you know to adopt a rubber duck or two in the knowledge that their support will benefit DSAL!

What is Down Syndrome?

Down syndrome is a chromosome disorder which usually causes a delay in physical, intellectual and language development. The degree to which each individual is affected varies widely. The exact causes of Down syndrome are currently unknown, and although there are prenatal tests that can detect Down syndrome, there is at this time no method for prevention and no cure.
