X-WR-CALDESC:Please mark your calendar for a DSAL hang out on May 6th. We'd
  love to see all of our families with a member 10 and under.\nWhile we are
  together\, we would love for the kids to help decorate a poster to thank 
 Dog and Duck for donating proceeds from their charity golf tournament to D
 SAL!\nWe will also have an added component to this hang out. Kids from Pin
 ckney Elementary School's Project ONEE have volunteered to join us and han
 g out with our kiddos and perhaps give parents a little extra ease in actu
 ally conversing with each other! This 3rd grade class at Pinckney is curre
 ntly partnering with special education classes at Laurel Hill Primary in a
 n effort to spread empathy\, understanding and acceptance to those with di
 ffering abilities. They created a group called Project ONEE (Open minds + 
 new knowledge + empathy = Extraordinary change). Twice a month the student
 s do Buddy Visits with the special education classes\, in addition to vari
 ous research projects and activities.\nOne of the students in this class\,
  Olivia\, reached out to DSAL wanting to volunteer. Her teacher\, Ms Saman
 tha Shealy is on board with this get together.\nI hope to see all of you g

 nter Park (2225 Daniel Island Dr\, Charleston\, SC 29492) This park has tw
 o sets of equipment (one for younger kiddos and one for older) as well as 
 a lot of shade if desired. \nWho: Families with a DSAL member 10 and young
 er (but of course anyone is welcome to come and join the fun!) This also\,
  of course\, includes moms\, dads\, siblings\, and our expectant moms and 
 dads.
